CLOTH · PAPER · GOODS
It all began with an old Nikon FE that had been sitting in my closet since 2009. It was handed down to me by my uncle, and my grandfather once owned the same model. Whether this camera was actually his is something I'll probably never know.
Years later, after life had taken a few unexpected turns, I found myself looking for a different pace. Anxiety, restlessness, and a constant sense of urgency had become familiar companions. The instant gratification of the modern world no longer felt satisfying. I wanted something real. Something physical. Something slow.
Film photography kept pulling at me, but I always assumed it would be too complicated to learn. So I never tried.
In 2024, I finally dusted off the Nikon and loaded my first roll of film.
It changed everything.
There is something difficult to explain about the process. Light passes through a lens and leaves its mark on silver halide crystals suspended in gelatin. Days or weeks later, that invisible moment returns as a physical image you can hold in your hands. The result isn't simply different from digital photography—it's an entirely different experience.
The photographs found here are a product of that process. They are observations of places, people, structures, weather, light, and time, recorded on film and made physical once again through print.
RBD Supply creates cloth, paper, and goods rooted in film photography.
